COURSES & WORKSHOPS

Share the experience

There’s always something happening.

Thinking about coming along to one of our courses or workshops? We’d love to see you there! Our classes are open to everyone (as long as you’re over 18).
Delve into our FAQs below for everything you need to know.

PLEASE NOTE:
Our Centre, Op Shop & Book Shop are CLOSED over all School Holiday Periods.

Courses.

  • How do courses work?

Courses run with the school terms. To keep things fresh, they change term-by-term, so it’s important you check back each quarter to see what’s new. All courses are taught by volunteer Class Coordinators, who generously volunteer their time to give back to the community.

  • What are the costs involved?

Course prices vary, please refer to our timetable for specific details.  We do offer discounts for multiple classes and for concession holders.  Our fee sheet (link above) will show discounts available.

Try something new or master something old.

Our classes change every term — these are just some that you might encounter.
  • Mixed Media Masterclass
  • Wood Work
  • Oil Painting
  • Upholstery
  • Yoga
  • Wood Turning
  • Bahasa Indonesia
  • Pottery Wheel
  • Leadlight
  • Watercolour Painting 102
  • Loom Weaving
  • Sewing

Workshops coming in Term 2 / 2024 ...

Felting Group - 2nd Saturday each month.

10:00am - 3:00pm  -  $10.00 per attendance.

$30 Beginners Felting Kit available from the centre.

Workshops.

  • What’s the difference between a course and a workshop?

Unlike courses, which run per term, workshops are special, “limited edition” classes that usually happen on weekends. These are typically run by known artists or organisations who are well-established in their field. When there is a workshop available, you’ll find information on it here, or on our Facebook page.

  • What are the costs involved?

Because Workshops aren’t necessarily run by Mundaring Learning, costs are set by the person running the class, so prices vary depending on the workshop.

If you’ve got a skill to share, we’ve got a class to run.

We welcome new volunteer Class Coordinators who would like to share their hobbies and skills with our community. Our members love undertaking new skills, and our volunteers find the experience of running their own class extremely rewarding. If you’d like to get in involved as a Class Coordinator, let us know!

“I felt comfortable and encouraged.

I really enjoy my time at Mundaring Learning. The ladies in my group are lovely, made me feel comfortable, and encouraged me to join in.”
